Letter to Dear Future Wife

Dear Future Wife,
In case you are wondering why I haven't showed up, trust me, I'm yearning to. I'm alone, but I'm not lonely, I desire a mate, but I'm not desperate. I know what I want and I refuse to settle. So until we meet (if we haven't met already) I'll continue to focus on finding myself, loving myself, being passionate, growing friendships, meeting new people and making memories, building my career and ultimately, building a formidable relationship with my Creator.
I refuse to give you someone shattered, despondent, or damaged, but, someone who would love as Christ loves the Church; a love that reflects the very heart of God from whom it came and who is Himself love. I'm therefore under the tutelage of this boundless love so as to love truly.
My past hasn't been pretty. My present is much better and my future is even brighter. I refuse to play victim. I'm a sum total of my choices. A new man in Christ with new hopes and a new Father whose thoughts for me are peaceful and void of evil; thoughts to give me an expected end.
This "end" involves you. With your perspective, mountain-moving faith and support, we'll make every dream a reality and leave the world a better place than we met it. Until then, I'm working on becoming a godly man and the best version of me and I'm sure you are working on you too. I'm looking forward to meeting you soon. Until then be steadfast to the One who calls the shots. For in him we live, and move, and have our being.
Yours truly.
